More Valentine's Day Specials

so to continue on with the Cherry thing I created a chopped cherry and bittersweet chocolate shortbread cookie. they're rolled, cut into hearts and then dipped in bittersweet chocolate for good measure.

While I'm on shortbread, I have another one on the special list, lavender-mint shortbread dipped in bittersweet chocolate. This one won a gold medal at the 2009 Sonoma County Harvest Fair. These sell very well at the French Garden Farmer's Market in Sebastopol on Sundays.

Valentine's Day is a heart beat away

I have created some really tasty cookies to share for Valentine's Day. The weather has been down right cold in Sonoma County for the past couple weeks. The cold is all around me so I've been keeping warm with flavors such as this very delicate and moist brown Butter Sage sandwich cookie with almond pastry cream filling.

I reach for cherries and raspberries when I need a little sun on a foggy, cloudy day. I've put together a few cookies that work with these flavors. The first is a lemon cardamom sugar cookie with a raspberry jam filling.

Time to sign off. I'll fill you in on the other Valentine's Day special cookie collection tomorrow.
